Team ENOUGH August Update

It was a BUSY month: We launched our new #MyLastWill campaign alongside Change the Ref, helped introduce landmark legislation to regulate homemade “ghost guns,” and we’re gearing up to attend the Made in America Festival this weekend.

Watch our short video from OUR Executive Council Member Stephan Abrams on what we’ve been up to!

If You Died of Gun Violence Today, What Would You Leave Behind in Your Will?

Team ENOUGH and young people across the country are demanding change with the #MyLastWill campaign.

Every day, 22 kids and teens are shot. We’re sick and tired of thoughts and prayers — and we’re speaking out. #MyLastWill, our powerful youth-led campaign with Change the Ref, asks youth to create mock “last wills and testaments” in the event we’re killed by gun violence. Tag senators and urge adults and leaders to pass stronger gun laws to save lives. Visit mylastwill.us now to join the movement!

Team ENOUGH Joins San Diego Lawmakers to Regulate “Ghost Guns”

This month, we joined San Diego lawmakers to introduce a local ordinance to regulate ghost guns, which are untraceable, homemade firearms that require NO background check. Team ENOUGH and San Diegan Stephan Abrams proudly attended the introduction alongside the San Diego mayor and others.

Learn more about our Executive Council.

Earlier this year, Stephan filmed a video exposing just how easy it is for minors and other prohibited purchasers to obtain ghost guns. With just a few clicks, he was able to buy a ghost gun kit online, have it shipped to his house, and could have built a fully functioning firearm in less than 30 minutes.

This latest news is big: San Diego now joins Los Angeles and San Francisco in the fight to regulate ghost guns. We won’t let up. We’ll be fighting to help pass this bill and similar efforts across California!
