Team ENOUGH Leaders Gearing Up for Listening Tour Across Florida

That’s right, we are going on tour in Florida! Our Team ENOUGH Florida Listening Tour will be focused on expanding our lobby collective, which is the only national, youth-led group lobbying lawmakers for gun reform in America. We’ll be stopping at major cities throughout Florida and we will focus on community engagement and mutual aid for communities in need of more resources. In the meantime, will you sign up to be the first to know when we’re on tour? We will keep you posted on how our advocacy shapes up!

ICYMI: New Video Featuring Aalayah Eastmond, a Parkland Survivor and Team ENOUGH Member

Team ENOUGH Executive Council member Aalayah Eastmond was featured in a new video by Just Democracy, part of their campaign to unrig the "democratic" structures that systematically exclude and suppress Black and Brown people in America. Together, activists, including Aalayah, urge the U.S. Senate to pass S 1, the For the People Act. This life-saving legislation is a once-in-a-generation package of reforms to cut big money out of politics and build a more representative democracy to end our nation's gun violence epidemic.

VICTORY: California Governor Announces Historic Funding for Community Violence Intervention

We had a huge victory in California on Friday, May 14: Gov. Gavin Newsom announced over $200 Million for CalVIP funding! These funds would go to evidence-based programs that heal communities and reduce gun violence. We know that this funding is more important than ever as we have seen gun violence spike over the course of the pandemic. This historic funding increase for CalVIP is an investment, not only for our communities but for generations to come.

“The funding proposed by Gov. Newsom would help to catalyze the important work of community violence prevention programs across our state that prevent violence and work with communities to resolve conflict and create healing. Thank you Gov. Newsom for calling on our State Legislature to include this historic funding for CalVIP. These funds will create change in our state.”
